BUDAIXI

Budaixi is a niche spot, the ambiance is just okay in my opinion because the seating is super limited (as of writing this they are currently moving to a larger location), indoor only, and mostly tiny wooden tables with small barstools, a few chairs with backs, and a very tiny bar seating area, 4 chairs. That being said there is no bar, no beer, and they don't allow you to bring in beer, but they have lots of fresh tea selections and chilled sparkling and still water.
The service is good, it’s more like a quick spot for a meal, rather than a longer dining experience type of vibe, when that ramen craving hits, this is the place to go!
The food we’ve had (been a few times) was really tasty, we tried the pork belly bao (juicy big portion of braised pork belly), the traditional Taiwanese house special beef soup with ramen noodles (this was our favorite, savory and the braised beef very tasty), the pork belly miso ramen (ramen lovers rejoice, this is the classic ramen you love), and the wonton soup (the wontons are pillowy and succulent, the broth though lighter is extremely good!). The soups are very well developed in flavor, and served nice and hot.
The soups and noodles were delicious, and the reason we will come back again. The noodles are hand made daily and very delicious and tender. They are on the thicker side, nice and chewy. They are in the process of moving locations, promising to bring back all their old time favorites, we’re hoping for the addition of beer and larger tables to enjoy a feast!
