Birrieria El Tío Toño

If you love birria this is the place to go, hands down. We've been about 15 times and have had nothing but delicious food and great service each time. The venue is a large covered patio, filled with lots of tables and chairs for all different sized groups, and usually lots of people enjoying friend or family meals together. When you show up just find an open table and take a seat, and get ready for the best birria of your life!
It's always been nice and cool, the service is fast and genuinely kind, and all the food is fantastic, beyond well priced. It's mostly a locals spot, with it being extra busy on Sundays, but since it's a larger venue usually no worries getting a seat right away. Oh, and you get to watch cooking in action; open kitchen along the back wall!
The birria orden chica (small bowl of birria) is not small and is filled with tender meat (your choice beef or goat, both are mouth watering) rich broth, and onions, cilantro, and cabbage is brought to the table as well as 3 fresh handmade tortillas, my absolute favorite along with a taco dorado. Salsas on the table are our favorites of all the local salsas we’ve had, the green is fresh and spicy! Tacos dorados are smaller crispy tacos, again with your choice of meat, I'd recommend 2-3 per person if that's all your getting, perfect to share. The tacos blanditos are simply meat of your choice served in a fresh tortilla, they are so good. The quesadillas are large, lightly grilled and so juicy, one is good for lunch, don't forget to add the $8 (yes 8 pesos) side of consome to dip, if you're not ordering the classic birria bowls to dip in.
Even if it's 90 degrees out, this still hits the spot! Cash only, they serve juices (the orange juice is squeezed to order!), waters, cokes, other sodas, no beer but they don't mind if you bring. The prices are low, the service is great, and the food is wonderful, so don't forget to leave a nice tip for this family run spot!
