Tacon de Marlin

Historic venue alert (this restaurant concept has been open since the 80’s!), if you love seafood, you have to come and try this spot! It's a smaller venue, look for the cute blue shop, indoor seating only although it is right next to the beach. The menu is very limited, but that's what makes it fresh and delicious! Prices are low ($7.50-$8.50 usd) and portions are large, they also serve complimentary spicy pickles, and a type of cucumber mini salad (kind of tastes like a potato salad mix) they also have house made hot sauces from mild to hot! We had the marlin and shrimp option, and split it, it was juicy, flavorful and so satisfying. So basically it is like what you would call a large “burrito” but they do not call it that, no one does, but that’s the size and shape you can expect. It’s stuffed with marlin, and freshly seared shrimp, super juicy and absolutely delicious! No rice or bean fillers, and the flour tortilla was also griddled on the flat top, so good! The servers were really kind and helpful, they don't serve beer but are totally fine with you bringing in one to enjoy with lunch, they have an oxxo right across the street! Definitely unique and a lot of history behind the venue, check it out, you won't regret it! We'll be back!
